Day 4! A REAL Success!

Okay… so day 4!

Day 4 started off with a 21.1km (13.1m / half marathon distance) training run.  It was the last “long” group run of the training session.  Definitely bitter sweet.  I love seeing how far some members of my pace group have come, but it’s kinda hard to see that others are having struggles.  Next week we have a 10K race, and the week after, it’s race day!  But I’ll write all about race day & training in a separate post!

On to how I did on day 4!

For the first time, since I got back on track, I stayed within my daily PointsPlus Target (26).

I had my regular oatmeal concoction for breakfast & a mocha after my run. For lunch I ate a chicken breast from the batch I was cooking for my weeks worth of work lunches, then made myself a huge 0pts+ fruit salad.  Strawberries, bananas & oranges! OH MY!   I’m not kidding when I tell you that I ate half a pound of strawberries yesterday & 3 bananas.   I think I need to write a thank you letter to David Kirchhoff  for 0pt fruit!

Dinner was amazing.  3pts+ worth of chicken & some roasted veggies with potato.   There was a package of 2 pts+ BBQ pop chips in there too.

All in all, I felt in control of my day!

And I’m happy to report that, when I hopped on my home scale this morning, I saw some results!  If I were to go to a meeting today, I could weigh in as a no charge LifeTime member, no more than 2lbs above goal.

With te marathon now less than 2 weeks away, and being in the ‘taper’ phase of training, it is more important than ever that I keep on top of this and keep tracking!

So tell me this, what is your go to fruit for some delicious 0pt satisfaction?

Way to go! Getting back on track is tough, I’m struggling with it right now, too. I’m hoping for a good weigh in Thursday morning! Good luck with the rest of your week.
